Diwali - Festival of Lights

Join the Perth Marathi Association for a grand Diwali celebration on November 11, 2023. Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a joyous occasion that signifies the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. The event will feature a stunning display of traditional Rangoli art, created using colorful powders, rice, and flower petals, adorning the venue to welcome guests and bring good fortune. The celebration will begin with the lighting of thousands of diyas or earthen lamps, illuminating the venue and creating a warm, festive atmosphere. The twinkling lights of the diyas will be accompanied by the soft glow of lanterns, known as Kandils, hanging from the ceilings and balconies. This magical display of light represents the triumph of knowledge over ignorance and the dispelling of darkness from our lives.
